MSc Admission Process

The MSc admission 2023 is based on merit as well as entrance examinations. Entrance exams are carried out to check the intelligence and skills of deserving students.

GD and PI are compulsory for final selection after both merit and entrance exam-based Master of Science degree admission process. 

 Eligibility Criteria for MSc Nursing

The basic eligibility criteria for MSc course that are followed in almost all colleges and universities across India are as follows:

  • Students must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 50-60% at graduation level to be able to secure admission.
  • Usually, a 5% relaxation is provided to the reserved category candidates.

The minimum aggregate marks required may differ depending on the college. In most cases, there is no upper age limit for enrolling in a Master of Science programme.

MSc Entrance Exams Preparation Tips

Apart from fulfilling the MSc eligibility criteria, students need to crack entrances in order to get into top universities like JNU, DU, BHU, etc, for Master of Science.

Here are a few points  to help you in clearing the MSc entrance exams:

  •  Prepare thoroughly for the general aptitude and general science. We suggest you start your preparation for 2 years in advance.
  • Solve and practice last year’s question paper, apart from the model tests which are available on their official websites or on the internet. 
  • Mock tests should be given in case of online exams to get a hang of the computer-based entrance tests.
  • In almost all the MSc Entrance exams, usually, 60% of questions are simple, 20% are relatively analytical and 20% are extremely difficult.

MSc Syllabus in India
