Nursing & Haryana Nurses & Nurse Midwives Council (HNNMC) for GNM & ANM courses and is approved by the Govt, of Haryana and Recognised by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. POST BASIC B.SC NURSING

 

BSc Nursing (Post Basic) is a two-year duration undergraduate course in nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities to provide hands-on care to patients by monitoring their medical condition, administering medications, maintaining records and communicating with doctors. In post basic BSc Nursing (also referred to as PBBSc), candidates are provided a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training. Admission to the course is usually done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written entrance exam conducted at university/ institute level. However, some institutions also provide direct admission to candidates on the basis of merit.

Admission Process

Criteria of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent.
Examination recognized by the university. Obtained a certificate in diploma General Nursing and Midwifery with Minimum 45% &above. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in anyone of the following areas: O.T. Techniques,Opthalmic Nursing , Leprosy Nursing ,TB Nursing , Psychatric Nursing ,Nurological and Nurosurgical Nursing Community Health Nursing , Cancer Nursing , Orthopaedic Nursing
Candidates shall be medically fit.
Students shall be admitted once .

GNM

 

GNM course is an integral part of the healthcare system which promotes health checkup and prevention of illness within the broad spectrum of health care. A vast number of inputs are given in the duration of the course which includes modules and subjects such as anatomy and physiology.

GNM course offers on ground training to the candidates to gain practical experience.The sole purpose of the course is to address the needs of the patients with the help of clinical methodologies by making the candidates ready.

Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery or ANM for short, is a 2 year undergraduate diploma course in nursing.
ANM students are educated on maternity care and providing assistance to new mothers during pregnancy and post-delivery. Candidates are also taught on various aspects of medicare that aim at improving the health of patients, families and society in large.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR ANM

 

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
2. The maximum age for admission shall be 30 years.
3. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of 12 years of schooling (10+2 year course) recognized by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or a recognized equivalent examination
