Florence School & College of Nursing came into existence around the nucleus of Florence School of Nursing in January 2007 & later raised to the status of College of Nursing in Sep 2010 ( now called Florence School & College of Nursing ) .

The purpose of establishing the Institute was to contribute towards overcoming shortage of Nurses in the country to some extent . The other aim was to encourage the girls from rural Community especially the weaker section of society to take up this noble profession & hence meeting the needs of grass root level . Since Nurses contribute to provide a large part of health Care , their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society . Hence emphasis must be laid to impart Knowledge most relevant to the health care needs of Community & Society at large .

Keeping this in view Florence School & College of Nursing is continuously striving to maintain qualitative environment with a world of knowledge quest for excellence in education with Holistic approach , conducive for effective learning .

The college is academically affiliated to Pt . B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and Haryana Nurse & Nurse Midwives Council. It is Approved by Haryana Govt. and recognized by  Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.

 
 

B.SC. NURSING

A 4 year program offered at Florence School & College of Nursing, affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak that prepares the student to practice across all health care settings. The Course of study combines the theory and the practice of Nursing, with general education in the Humanities and behavioural, biological and physical sciences. These serve as a core for the development of the Nursing major.
The B.Sc (N) program offers students experience in major settings where health care is delivered. As a B.Sc (N) graduate, you have the greatest opportunity for advancement. A B.Sc (N) is required for entry into a masters degree in nursing program that prepares you for leadership, management and more independent roles, such as clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, educator and researcher. A B.Sc (N) is preferred and often required for military nursing, case management, public health nursing. The Indian nursing council and Haryana Nurse & Nurse Midwives Council recognize this course offered by Florence School & College of Nursing.

 
 

POST BASIC B.SC NURSING

Post Basic B.Sc. degree in Nursing is a 2 years graduate program in nursing after completion of GNM. Its a continuing education aimed to build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy
On completion of Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree course from Florence School & College of Nursing, the graduates will be able to assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients / clients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities.

 
 

GNM (GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY)

The basic Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery is a 3 years course with internship integrated within the 3 years course. It is affiliated to the Indian Nursing council (INC). Indian Nursing Council recognized that basic nursing education is a formally recognized programme of students providing a broad and sound foundation in the behavioural, life and nursing sciences for the practice of nursing for a leadership role and for the post basic education in specialties for advanced nursing practice.
The basic Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery is geared to the health needs of the individuals, family, community and the country at large. Hillside School of Nursing has well educated, trained and experienced teaching staff for this course. Continuing/ in-service education programme is provided to keep the students abreast with latest technologies and sophistication used in day to day patient care in these areas.

 
 

ANM (AUXILIARY NURSE & MIDWIFE)

ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Health Centres, provide medication timely to patient, field surveys, home visits, immunizations, conduct deliveries, child care, health report generation and maintain records.
ANM course trains the students & make them capable to work as basic health workers. ANM graduates main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people.
Florence School & College of Nursing is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and Haryana Nurse & Nurse Midwives Council, Panchkula to provide education in ANM course.
